IQF Papaya dice/chunks manufacturing process
Once the papayas reach our factory, it is subjected to quality checks to remove rotten and damaged fruits. The papayas are passed through the conveyor belt, where secondary sorting is carried out. The fruits are washed with peracetic acid to remove the surface contaminants and are considered the most effective way to avoid microbial contamination. The fruits are again rinsed with fresh water. The tip and peel removal is carried out manually. The fruits are made into slices and again washed in peracetic acid. The papaya slices are pre-cooled and sent to the dicer. The dicer dices the papaya slices into dice of the required size. The papaya dice are passed to the IQF freezer, and the papaya dice are frozen at -18 degree Celsius to produce IQF papaya dice. The IQF papaya dice are passed through the vibrator conveyor for dewatering. Eventually, the product is passed through a metal detector and packed in LDPE bags in a 5-ply corrugated box. The product is stored in the cold storage room and maintained at a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius.
