Overview
Muskmelon is a tropical fruit cultivated in subtropical, tropical, and temperate regions. It is native to tropical Africa and grown in various areas. China is the world’s largest muskmelon producer, followed by Turkey and India. Considering its health benefits and applications as a value-added product, frozen muskmelon is widely used in the food industry.
Like mango puree, IQF muskmelon dice is a seasonal product from February to May. There are two types of muskmelons, the Cantaloupe (orange) and the Honeydew (green). In amalgamation with the production team, our quality team ensures we offer a superior product that caters to international and domestic markets.

| Frozen muskmelon dice specification | Free Flowing frozen muskmelon dice of Size (10×10)mm. The Chunks are made from fresh/frozen slices of semi-ripe fruit vertically cut. Since the slices are oblong, not all Chunks will be uniform in shape/size. However, up to 85-90%will have two sides of the required size, and 10-15% will be of irregular shape due to the geometry of the Fruit. |

| Quality description/ process | Frozen muskmelon dice are derived from matured and GMO-freemuskmelon fruits. Slices are hand-made from semi-ripened fruit. Balls/dice are passed through the Blast Freezer at -30 to -40 degrees Celsius, inspected, packed & passed through a metal detector. Overall, the processing is done by maintaining strict hygienic conditions throughout the processing line. |

IQF muskmelon dice/balls manufacturing process
ABC Fruits supplies premium quality IQF muskmelon chunks/balls/dice. The GMO-free high-quality muskmelons are brought to our factory and sorted depending on the quality of the fruit. The fruits are sorted again on the conveyor belt and washed to remove dust particles. The fruits are peeled manually. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the muskmelon is cut into chunks/dice or scooped into balls. The muskmelon balls are washed and dewatered. The balls/chunks are then passed through the IQF freezer to produce IQF muskmelon dice. The IQF muskmelon dice are subjected to quality control, where the undersized dice are removed. The product is passed through the metal detector and food-grade LDPE bags. The secondary packing is done in a five-ply carton box. Eventually, IQF muskmelon balls are stored in a cold storage room at -18 degrees Celsius.
